Mother Goose & Friends Awards and Recognitions

Since winning first place solo and poetry at age twelve, Chris Everett has been honored many times for her talents and involvement in community, church, and the theatre circles. Her first magazine article was published at age eleven. Currently she is an elected board member of Grand Chain. She is an active member of Ohio Chapel Church and serves on various committees and is children's' sermons coordinator. She uses her drama and flair for the arts to enhance many of the programs and events at this unique historical church.

She graduated from Paducah Tilghman High School as a member of the National Honor Society and was voted student teacher of the year by Teachers Association. Ms. Everett won Jaycee Talent Contest in 1965 and competed at the Memphis State Fair Talent Show the following year. She was voted Miss PBX Personality in 1965 while beginning her career in banking. As RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program Director she was a charter member of the RSVP Directors Association. In 1988 she won honors for producing a winning commercial for the RSVP program and for two years produced the only cable television program in the United States run entirely by her RSVP volunteers under the auspices of Paducah Community College in Paducah.

Served several years as Off River Events Coordinator for the Paducah Summer Festival. Charter Member of Western KY Senor Olympics. While working in Lourdes Hospice in Paducah Kentucky she was given an opportunity to be a presenter at the National Hospice Association in Boston. In a return visit she was asked to perform Christabelle Biggonbottom, another persona of the many characters in her genre. She was a very active member of the Paducah Business Women's Association in Kentucky and is a Duchess of Paducah.

Theatrically Chris Everett has been honored with many starring roles as part of the Market House Theatre and Shawnee Community's Drama Department. She has played Mrs. Potts in Beauty and the Beast, Charlotte in Charlotte's Web. Angelina in Pinocchio, Mayzie in Seussical, Mrs. Lynch in Grease, Ms. Darbus in High School Musical and served as Props Master for most all of above. She recently portrayed Mrs. Lincoln at the Flatboat Landing in Fort Massac, IL. She received her fIVe year Participation plaque from Shawnee Community in 2008 and has been their guest Drama Camp Director the past three years. Ms. Everett plays guitar, dulcimer and is considered an accomplished soloist. Her artistic abilities are seen mainly on community buildings around Grand Chain and in her presentations for her Mother Goose Programs. She has performed as Mother Goose for many years for thousands of children and adults of all. ages.
