The Invention Guru Bio

Paul's interest in inventions goes all the way back to his teenage years in the 1980's, when he was fascinated by the thought of inventing a product and having people want to purchase it. Believing that he was not the inventor type, though, he went to work for an ad agency in 1992 in St. Louis after college. His first big break came later that year when he was assigned to launch a new product onto the market for the agency. After that, he started his own company with the purpose of helping inventors bring their inventions to market.

In 1998, he finally invented something of his own ... the IMPEACHMENT Card Game. The IMPEACHMENT game received nationwide media coverage, and he began writing a regular column for Inventors' Digest a few years later. It was while writing for Inventors' Digest that he came up with the idea of creating his own weekly newspaper column.

He also taught marketing and entrepreneurship at Quincy (IL) University for six years.
