The first time I was approached about learning hypnosis, I thought How hokey! However, I checked with a psychologist in my church and he said, Hypnosis is great it doesn't cure everything - nothing does - but hypnosis is a great tool. As soon as I began learning and doing hypnosis sessions for weight loss, I was convinced my psychologist friend was right! Immediately, I lost weight (35 pounds), my clients lost weight, and suddenly I had a new additional career as a hypnotist. As a Christian, you learn very quickly that your job is often to get out of the way and allow the Spirit to use you as a tool or vessel so that others lives may be influenced for the good. As a hypnotist, I believe hypnosis is a tool individuals use to improve their lives. I simply the vessel through which people experience the amazing power of hypnosis. Everyday I am amazed when my clients stop smoking, lose weight, and find relief from stress and other problems. I practice as a hypnotist because I enjoy helping people make healthy changes in their lives. Both the mind and the heart are engaged in a good hypnosis session. Change, true change, is always both mental and emotional. Hypnosis allows me to serve in a very practical and important manner. Hypnosis is also very fun. For six years I have also been doing clean and professional stage hypnosis shows for schools, corporate parties, and private parties. For years stage hypnotists kept hypnotism alive when the traditional academic community was not interested in hypnotism. If you’ve never seen a good stage hypnosis show, I recommend you find one! It is hilarious, fun, and simply incredible how powerful hypnosis can be with good subjects! You may be looking to expand your professional skills, as I did. Hypnotism has opened a wonderful new chapter in my life. Hypnosis has enhanced my personal health, allowed me to build a successful practice of four clinics (with the help of several other talented hypnotists), a school of hypnotism, and surprisingly I touch far more individual’s lives than I did serving the church as a local pastor.
